In an article for Law360 Pulse, Managing Partner Laurie Carr Mims discusses expectations and priorities for Keker in the upcoming year and reflects on 2024, a year that saw the firm take eight cases to trial or arbitration, including for such high-profile clients as Google and Dexcom.
"It was one of our most profitable years, but we were also able to take a bunch of cases to trial," she said. "We really love going to trial."
Heading into 2025, Mims says the firm is positioned for growth, particularly in AI-related litigation, where it is representing OpenAI in several copyright infringement cases. Mims said the firm is focused on ensuring that more attorneys gain lead trial experience.
“It's something we're focused on as a firm, as we transition to the next generation," she said. "The founders are still a big part of the firm, but as they start to scale back, it's gratifying to me to see more and more attorneys take leadership roles."
