Niall Frizzell represents clients in all facets of commercial litigation. Before joining Keker, Van Nest & Peters, he served as a law clerk to Judge Marsha S. Berzon of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to Judge Vince Chhabria of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Niall graduated from UC Davis School of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for Judge William H. Orrick of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Before law school, he was caseworker and field representative for Congresswoman Jackie Speier and former Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey.
Niall has an M.A. in political science from Columbia University and a B.A. in political science and geography from McGill University.
Keker, Van Nest & Peters has filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of the United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC) contesting the Department of the Interior’s approval of another tribe’s casino project. The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on March 24, claims that the approval process for the project poses a threat to tribal sovereignty and violates federal laws.
